Mobile Hospital

In a country where more than 90% elders have to work in order to survive, affording quality medical care is a far dream. People are living longer, the Oldest Old, those 80 plus, are estimated to reach 53 million by 2050. 88% of the Oldest Old (80+) suffer from chronic ailments such as hypertension, asthma, arthritis, heart problems etc. ShantiSthanam's Mobile Healthcare program seeks to provide sustainable healthcare solutions to destitute elders and their community where these are none available through its Mobile Healthcare Units (MHUs). Each MHU has a doctor, pharmacist and a social worker. These MHUs go into the interiors of urban slums and villages, bringing healthcare virtually at the doorsteps of these destitute elders. For most elders it saves them from the long lines at hospitals which are also situated far from their communities and they get free medication on a monthly basis. Their Individual patient card keeps a record of their treatment and helps monitor their progress.

We have a team of Doctors, Nurses, Social workers which is increasing day by day, a team of local heroes who are saving lives helping people escape sudden calamity, sudden problem like diabetes, heart attacks or major general ailments like limb donation, liver and kidney transplants etc . .

Global Collaboration in Peace Building & removing conflicts

Interfaith Leadership

Most people understand and discover meaning in life through various spiritual paths. While there may be great differences in religious doctrines and liturgies, how one lives every day is a measure of how those beliefs have taken root in one’s character. Basic human values—respect and compassion for all people, honoring the family, living with integrity—are vitally important to people of all faiths and backgrounds. Thus it is essential that faith leaders stand together and publically affirm the shared principles and values that faith traditions individually advocate. Addressing the most critical problems facing humanity, including conflict and extreme poverty, requires fundamental change in heart and spirit. Faith leadership, which appeals to the highest ideals and aspirations of human beings, is needed to help bring about such change. Because faith traditions address the larger questions of life—who we are and how we should live—religious identities are often more fundamental than nationality or ethnicity. Recognizing that many conflicts are attributed to religious causes, people of faith must show by example that they can transcend differences based on our common heritage and shared values as One Family under God..

We believe that the most fundamental human problems cannot be solved by politics, diplomacy, economics, or even science alone. We need to work together towards effective solutions that address the root causes of conflict and corruption. Conflicts of religious beliefs is the major confusion that human on this earth faces. We thereby continuously study and research on religion beliefs and conflicts and now strive to solve these issues by addressing masses. .

Strengthening Families

The old paradigm of life-controlling and mind-manipulating belief systems has left many to finally realize they have been living in an artificial reality created by egotistical people on power trips. This has led to a situation where many are wandering, trying to find their own way in a world without many true leaders, and as a result of this, a new market has developed which attempts to showcase answers to those people who have become disillusioned with the old dogmatic systems. .

The family is the school of love and virtue in which the character and heart of each individual is formed at the deepest level. The ideal institution for teaching and learning values is a healthy family headed by a father and mother. .

The family is meant to be the most intimate environment in which every child comes to know his or her intrinsic value through the unconditional love of parents. The vital relationships in the extended family help to shape the child’s larger sense of identity through imparting the essence of culture and tradition. Relations within the family, between husband and wife, parents and children, and among siblings are instrumental for developing the virtues that underlie all positive social relations. People learn to relate with all of humanity in the extended family. Future citizens with clear ethical values and an active sense of social responsibility are cultivated within strong families and vibrant communities. From the immediate family to the extended family model, and carrying forth to the entire human family, family is at the heart of One Family under God..
